This video has been doing the rounds on many fight forums, and is the advert for the Jeff Glover’s deep half guard instructional. It’s probably one of the funniest instructional adverts I’ve seen.

I am looking forward to seeing this myself, as I am a big fan of the deep half guard, after studying Saulo Ribiero’s DVD set, and also Jeff Monson’s excellent demonstration of it on YouTube.  To me, the deep half guard can be as simple or complicated as you would like it to be.  There is a clip on YouTube of Felipe Costa showing a deep half guard sweep/back take using the gi lapels.  Very impressive but it’s not something I could pull off!
